Week 6 (Days 25-29)

September 22-26, 2014

Throughout the week we explored some leaves on the Smart Board that John, Caroline, and Eric brought for us to share. We are really enjoying watching the seasons change!

WOW! Shona and Jonathan were the MVP's in P.E. this week!

Sweet Brookie lost her tooth in class on Tuesday!

Cole cashed in one of his treasure box prizes and got to wear a hat all day on Wednesday!

Rohan chose a song for us to sing and dance to as a brain break on Wednesday..we LOVE the Lego Movie in here!

Presley caught a lizard and brought it for us to all see! So cool.

We received yet another Book It fundraiser incentive! We love extra recess! :)

Thursday sweet Shona was the music star in Mrs. Pollard's room! Woohoo!

 Friday was Book Character Day!!!! We enjoyed getting to dress up as our favorite literary characters! Here are some pictures before the parade around Roberts:

The first grade team all dressed up as different Junie B. Jones characters! What a fun group!

After much deliberation, the PTA volunteers chose our very own Stephen as the overall first grade boys' winner! :)

 

We absolutely adore Mrs. Boswell and GT on Fridays!

Our Mystery Reader this week is....... Christian's mom, Sylvia Piggee!!!!

Days 22-24

This week we celebrated Freedom Week, learned about text and graphic features, addition strategies, wrote complete sentences, used adjectives, and words with short e! Here are some pictures (I apologize for the sideways orientation...they're being stubborn and won't stay upright!)

Today we found out that we are in FIRST place for the Book It fundraiser! Woohoo!! Go sweeties!

We used our invisble pens we earned from Book It to write secret messages on our arms!

Kindergarten Freedom parade on Wednesday!

Book Character Day is THIS COMING FRIDAY, September 26, 2014. It will begin at 8 a.m., so make sure you have your outfit ready! Remember, you need to wear an appropriate outfit FROM a book. Please no Halloween costumes or outfits that are scary. I can't wait to see what everyone else is wearing.... :)
